For all those who don’t know, Cut Chemist is the DJ that’s been holding it down in Los Angles since 1993. One of the ablest solo turntablists on the globe, Cut Chemist spent the early years of his career DJing and producing the underground rap kings Jurassic 5, as well as the Los Angeles Latin funk band Ozomatli. In 1999, he teamed up with DJ Shadow and performed a series of events called Brainfreeze which developed into a popular and hard to find album. In 2001, the duo followed up their previous success with Product Placement, a studio record that stylistically followed the pattern of Brainfreeze. In 2004, Cut Chemist issued Litmus Test, a remixed collection of his previous work, followed in 2006 with his most recent masterpiece, The Audience's Listening.
